We live in a world of duality.
We have things like -
night and day
black and white
yes and no
hot and cold
happy and sad
laughing and crying
rich and poor
and so on.
Each of these emotions is on a wavelength, a vibration.
Think of a rainbow. We call it a rainbow and it has the vibration of a rainbow. However at one end is the colour red and at the other end is the colour violet.
All the colours of the rainbow vibrate at their own frequency. Red vibrates at the slowest rate and violet vibrates at the fastest rate.
Imagine the seven colours of the rainbow on a pole that is vibrating. Red is at the bottom end of the pole and vibrating at the slowest rate. Violet is at the top end of the pole and vibrating at the fastest rate and yet they still belong to this imaginary pole we have named, 'rainbow'.
Likewise, imagine hate at the bottom end of a pole and love at the top end of the pole. These two emotions are both on the same pole, however they are extremes of the same emotional vibration.
Hot and cold are at both ends of a pole. Hot is at one end and cold is at the other end.
Think of a thermometer, with hot at one end and cold at the other end.
Imagine another pole and at the bottom end is unhappiness and at the very top is happiness. These two emotions are both vibrating at the extreme ends of the same pole.
Which end of the poles would you rather be?
unhappy or happy
laughing or crying
rich or poor
fearful or fearless
stressed or calm
At which end of the poles would you rather be?
Throughout your day, and maybe when you get angry, sad, stressed or feel tearful, think; 'which end of the pole am I?' Just close your eyes and imagine your pole and place your marker at the end you would rather be.
This is a lovely exercise to do.
